About the author

Benjamin Bajramović (Zenica, 1989) is a writer and actor. He graduated in acting from the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo and is a member of the ensemble of the Bosnian National Theatre Zenica. As a freelance artist, he has performed in productions of SARTR, the National Theatre Sarajevo, and the MESS Festival, and his stage work also includes international co-productions in England, Germany, Rwanda, Kosovo, and Serbia.

As a writer, he is the author of the novel Itake (Buybook, 2020) and several plays, among them Itake (MESS, 2019), Snakebite, The Road from Damascus, and Bordel Eden, which was awarded Best Regional Play in Heartefact’s 2020 competition.

Through theatre and literature, Bajramović’s work remains focused on language and on exploring the intersection of personal experience with broader social and historical circumstances.
